TWIN FALLS 2/10/07

Who said there were no water crossings?

Us at the trailhead?

Making our way

This is what happens to trespassers

...and they don't even know your name

Old settlers cabin

Richland Creek

.... during high waters...lots of kayakers

..and now we ascend to the top

...or just stand around and rest

...and find a nice to tree to rest

...and then we head out again

...and for our second water crossing

We need a little help

...and hope the rocks are not as slippery as they look

This is a deep hole in a big creek rock

Henry sitting by a sink hole

Our first view of Long Devils Fork Falls

...and a closer look

Twin Falls from above

Nice, indeed

A perfect spot for lunch

Keith looking for his perfect spot

..but getting to that perfect spot is not always easy!

One more glimpse at the falls

...and now down

Some ladies know how it's done

....and

....Dianne

...does it all the way down!

So now we are all under the falls

and there they are!

Keith doing a little "ice exploring"

We all need a little help at times

...and today was the day

...and we did appreciate it very much

Billy Bob

TAKAHIK at Twin Falls

...and Beverly enjoying a little peace and quite

...and so we head on down the creek

Which required a little more help

....and we did appreciate it very much

...and our next find would be?

Looking up Richland Creek

Trying not to get wet

Ah, Richland Creek Falls

Can you believe Kayakers go over this?

...and a closer look

Cheyenne enjoying the falls

Pat could slip off this log and I'm going to get a great picture of her doing just that!

A nice fossil spine of some sort?

Can you count the number of fossils in this rock?

There's a BUNCH

...and yet another rock covered with fossils

But we gotta go

..and believe me it was UPHILL!!!!

Remember this tree ...... turn here

We made it to the road, and still had a little energy?

Keith trying to comfort Dianne, "we're almost there, we're almost there"!  Yeah, Sure

Bye, bye

Yeah, Sure

One last look at Richland Creek

If I had the keys I would get us out of here, quick!

After 8.19 miles and a 1000 foot climb, we made it.

It was a great day, after all.

Yeah, Sure
