Obituary
Walter Leroy Johnson, 67, of Harrison, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002 at his home. He was born Jan. 6, 1935, at Rosebud, the son of Claud and Iva Jane Carson Johnson. Memorial services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Solomon Lodge #767, Free and Accepted Masons in Saint Paul with Masonic Rites by Solomon Lodge #767. Funeral arrangements by Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. He was retired from General Motors Corporation and held a masters degree from Indiana University. He was serving as Master of Solomon Lodge #767, was a member of Huntsville Chapter #487, The Order of the Eastern Star, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Western Arkansas Scottish Rite Bodies at Fort Smith and Scimitar Shrine Temple of Little Rock. He was a member of the AARP and the 1st Howitzer Battalion, 130th Field Artillery Association. Survivors include his wife, Philomel Fevidal Johnson of the home; a son, Walter L. Johnson, Jr., of Kokomo, Ind.; his mother, Iva Jane Johnson of Kensett and two sisters, Iva Nell Davenport of Cabot and Estelle Hargrove of Searcy. |
