DEWAYNE "BUZZ" HEINZEN

Obituary

 

Dewayne “Buzz” Heinzen, 75, died February 5, 2020, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home.  He was born October 19, 1944, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Robert and Julia Heinzen.

He graduated high school from Divine Word Seminary before serving four years in the United States Air Force as a medic.  After his service, he graduated from the University of Akron with a master’s degree in history and later from Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He was owner/operator of a construction company in Russellville and retired from Entergy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bradley Heinzen.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa “Terri” Heinzen; five sons and their spouses Charles (Erin) Heinzen, Andrew (Susan) Heinzen, David (Valerie) Heinzen, and Daniel (Guillen) Heinzen, all of Russellville, and Matthew (Jenny) Heinzen of Atkins; six grandchildren, John, Michael, Miranda, Ryan, Anna Kate, and Malcolm Heinzen all of Russellville; his sister, Candy (Len) Batten of Australia; sister-in-law Charlotte Heinzen of North Carolina; his mother-in-law, Louise Heller of Russellville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

The memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 10, 2020, at the Shinn Chapel with Father Tom Mullaly officiating.  Burial with military honors will be private in Ball Hill Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Monday morning from 9:30 a.m., until service time in the chapel.
