We met at the Ouachita Trailhead at Lake Sylvia
It was COLD and the numbered proved it today!
The lake was closed today.....but we were open!
Brenda making sure we didn't owe any money!

Our hike for the day.......
New trail marker....clothes pin with reflective tape?
We needed to warm up, so a fast pace was
in order for the day....
Lots of signs to keep you on the trail.....
So when you come to an intersection....
....what do you do?
You ask this fathom lady.....she was our leader!
Of course....
...she might lead you astray?
...and when she lets her hair down...watch out!

We had a little of this.....

There were a few steep climbs....
....a dog that wanted to play.....
Not one of the better signs, but had a lot
of character....!

Vista Point, but the trees are growing to tall
to get a good look....
I think we were suppose to be UP there?
...but hey, there's the lake....we are not lost!

A very neat and unique dam.....
A perfect place for a dam....
Now it is time to find a place to eat lunch;;;
hopefully in the sunshine.....
I think we found it.....
Some wore heavy coats, some wore shorts?
Go figure!
After our hike, we found the bathroom....
however, it was locked.
Oh well.......

Target stores have nothing on the State Parks.
If you are 3'6" tall or less, and it comes a flood,
you will surely drown!

We decided not to go to Flatside Pinnacle today...
it was cold and windy and only a few wanted to go.
We will do it again sometime!
